Hi Yasmin,
I've done a few of these recently (They were Recordavox brand, another
French label. They were 6 inch aluminium discs. The best results I got
were with a 3,5mil elliptical truncated chosen among a lot of different
sizes...
Greetings from Paris !

The disc in question has a French label (Foniric) and a gold or brass colored finish. I know the grooves on these types of discs can be quite shallow and fragile. Other than imaging technology such as IRENE which isn’t possible in Havana yet, does anyone on this list have recommendations for sources for the appropriate stylus? I’ve read that a large tip radius is needed and historically playback was achieved with wooden or fiber styli. If you’ve had relative success with any styli, please let me know.
