Leroy: It has never been FULLY released. It is a 3 21/2 hour film in three
partts (2 one hour each and one 90). The film festival showing were only
various parts. The PBS series will show over 3 weeks. The " AE Sessions " is
a separate 2 hour show where a group of modern performers (Willie and
Merle, Alabama Shakes and even Elton John. record songs on the last remaining
weight driven disc recorder.
I've see the whole thing in prep of a review and it certainly is worth
watching. I was able to convince the Producers and Directors to come to the
ARSC Conference (ARSC members like Dic Spottswood are in the doc) and unless
PBS needs them elsewhere, they are coming. The 5 CD set is coming in June in
a deluxe box and the book is already out (and I listened to the auidiobook
version last week).
Sorry you aren't coming to SA this year. We are close to you!

Maybe discussed when it was released about a year ago… just got to my
neck
of the woods… looks like it's worth watching.
