Does your friend buy by mail?
I know of a collection here that St. Louis bought- good, solid rock.
Afterwards, I bought the cassettes and the VPI cleaning machine. After that
sale took place, I was contacted by the seller, from my pennysaver ad. I
didn't think to ask if the seller made the first call to St. Louis.

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Cold Calls from DJ Records STL
A friend just wrote to say that DJ Records in St. Louis has called his home
twice inquiring about his vinyl. He certainly has a worthy collection. But
most concerning is that this collection is not public knowledge: he's never
dealt with DJ Records, nobody in ARSC knows him, he's never advertised his
desire to buy, there's never been a "Local Man Has Amazing Vinyl Collection"
article in the advertiser . so we're wondering:
How did DJ Records get his name and number?
Anyone else gotten these cold calls?
Does this make anyone else paranoid?
