Indiana University's Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative (MDPI) announces the launch of a new blog! In this space you will regularly find content that takes you inside the MDPI project which has digitized more than 220,000 audio and video recordings in two years. The blog will explore not only the digitization process but preparation, access, storage, metadata, management, content and other issues. It will feature several on-going series including one titled "Obsolescence in Action" that examines the front lines of scarcity in the media preservation space.

We begin with five new posts:
