The vast majority of 111 still plays fine. As Ted says, some
brittleness, some shedding, a very slim chance of vinegar syndrome (but
nothing like Kodak acetate tapes).
DO NOT BAKE!
I did see one reel from Vermont that had spent several winters behind a
wood stove. The edges were fused and the tape tore once per revolution.
I did not proceed.
