At Warner Bros. Studios Archive Dept., they have an oven capable of
holding 36 - 2" NAB reels. The oven itself will hold temperature within
2 degrees, even when full. I have seen that oven full of 2" tape many
times and all baked successfully. It usually takes increased
temperatures and longer baking times when baking that many tapes of that
thickness. At the home studio, I use a dehydrator and monitor the
temperature with a digital thermometer that has a probe long enough that
I can check the temp at several depths.
Cheers!
