Dear Colleagues -
It is my pleasure to circulate the schedule of the second Library of
Congress Radio Preservation Task Force conference, taking place Nov. 2-4.
The task force is holding sessions at multiple Washington D.C. sites -
including the Library of Congress, NPR, Woodrow Wilson Center, and
University of Maryland. https://radiopreservation.org/2017-program/
This year we're bringing together over 250 representatives from academic,
public, museum, and private sectors. Over the course of eighteen panels and
four special events, we'll talk about how we might strategically increase
the diversity of our primary source record by preserving the sounds of
cultural and political history. In addition, we've partnered with NPR to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Pubic Media, with a special Plenary
organized by NPR, at NPR itself.
If you're interested in attending our general sessions at the Library of
Congress, *please email [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]>*.
We have very limited openings on Friday, but many seats for Saturday,
including for our Collectors session. Attendance is free but by
registration only.
