It would be difficult to define what is political or protest. There are
some 58million hits on searching google for "political recordings" and
several discographies showing up.
Archie Green's book Only a Minor discusses many of the mining songs of
protest; much of the mining industry struggles and unionizing are
documented in those songs recorded.
