Well, maybe we have some more evidence-- we have 2 *different* hand
written white labels for "Skip To My Lou" and 3 commercial pressings.
https://archive.org/search.php?query=title%3A%22Skip%20to%20My%20Lou%22%20AND%20publisher%3Adecca%20AND%20creator%3Agordon
I am not good at comparing versions, but at first glace at the waveform,
and a brief listen, one of the white labels sounds the same as one of
the commercials.
Oh, and the LM number (4041) matches the number part of the matrix on
the commercial release:

https://archive.org/details/78_skip-to-my-lou_gordon-jenkins_gbia0030575a
If that holds up, then that could mean these are test pressings of
commercial releases, maybe before commercial release or before re-release.
If any other ideas... does anyone hear a difference (other that wear)
of these recordings?

P.S. i can not even imagine a time when "Skip to my lou" would have
been a best seller as "Personality Series" not a children's record :)
