The limitation with Deconstruct is that music and even a vocal contain both
tonal and non tonal elements. The task then is to separate the wanted
(tonal plus non tonal ) elements of the performance, from the unwanted (non
tonal) noise.
For example speech consonants, and background hiss can present the same.
They are both non tonal. A tool to separate tonal from non tonal is of no
use here. We would need a tool to separate wanted "noise" from unwanted
noise (both non tonal).
