I see no problem with Compilers in field 374 if: (a) the term is approved in that form in some controlled vocabulary; and (b) it means something in that vocabulary that corresponds to a profession or occupation (vocation or avocation) of the person in question. I'm not familiar with any controlled vocabulary that uses the term Compilers, but then there's lots of vocabularies I'm not familiar with, and lots of terms I don't know in the vocabularies I am familiar with. If the term used in 374 is not from a controlled vocabulary, DCM Z1 tells us it should be in singular form, not plural.
