Dear colleagues --
IASA is please to announce that the Technical Committee completed the
placement of all existing sections of *Guidelines for the Preservation of
Video Recordings, IASA-TC 06* on IASA's website. This version is available
for public comment in order to accumulate community suggested edits as
needed.
Carl Fleischhauer, co-editor of the document, has written five introductory
blogs about TC 06 to aid readers in understanding the process for drafting
the document, the structure of its publication, and the future plans for
new editions.
The first and second blogs are currently available on the IASA website:
https://www.iasa-web.org/blog/iasa-tc-06-video-guideline-first-edition-first-version
and
https://www.iasa-web.org/blog/iasa-tc-06-video-guideline-videos-technical-complexity-challenging-preservation-issues.
Three others will follow in the upcoming days. The blog links readers to
the guideline proper, which is available here:
https://www.iasa-web.org/tc06/guidelines-preservation-video-recordings.
We hope that Guidelines for the Preservation of Video Recordings, IASA-TC
06, will have high interest for a wide range of readers.
With all best regards --
Bertram Lyons, IASA Editor
