Soorry, I misstated it - I use the automatic mode for voice denoise.
When I open one of the modules, I usually use it just as it is when I open it, save perhaps for setting the quality slider to best. I was inaccurately using the term preset when I meant module. There are wide varieties of settings in each module, but generlly I only change them if I thingk I can make it better. It is just as easy to mess it up as to make it better, so I usually avoid modifying them!
RX has so many things it can do that you can spend hours or days messing with it, so the simpler the settings the better.

One question, though, when you say "Then did the same thing using RX6 voice denoise” do you mean that you use the manual option for voice denoise, let it sample the background noise and “learn” it and then process the whole file? Lastly, when you say you only use presets, which presets you you use (or both Spectral and Dialogue mode)?

Then did the same thing using RX6 voice denoise, which is a refinement only in 6. I almost always use the presets, rarely need to modify them, except I set the quality slider to BEST always.

And, lastly, I don’t really understand what you mean by “two passes.” I’m not really an engineer, I’m a radio producer who knows just enough about various sound processing tools to do my day-to-day job. And I’ve never used RX until now. I had previously used SoundSoap, but have been told RX is much better.
