Steve,
I don't remember seeing the post to which you refer, and I've never
seen a specific number of clicks indicated as being the number below
which the process is ineffective. Naturally, the best setting depends
on the audio being processed, and I don't think one number can apply
to all cases. I think trial and error, and your ears, will indicate what
works best. And "effective" is a relative term: your monitor will allow
you to see the results of various settings, but what's important is how
it sounds.
I have found, generally, a setting of 2 or 3 is good for vinyl and lacquers
which are not badly worn. 78s are another matter. Experiment!

Someone was kind enough to post the best setting to begin declicking 78s
with RX5.
In a post I've now lost, there was a mention of the number of clicks removed
per minute of audio below which it was ineffective.
Has anyone a suggested number?
