Kick off your ALA Annual meeting with the ALCTS CaMMS Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloging Interest Group (CECCIG) on Friday, June 22, 1-2 pm, in Room 207 of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Using situations brought up during the Midwinter CaMMS Forum discussion about why we need a code of ethics for cataloging, we will be playing a rousing game of Spin the Wheel of Ethical Dilemmas! This is an opportunity to think about how we make about ethical decisions for ourselves, and about how we communicate those decisions to colleagues and students. We're hoping that everyone will come away from this unique experience energized and with an expanded appreciation for the challenges of making ethical decisions on the fly as a modern metadata wrangler.
Hope to see you there!
