Description: DSFederal is seeking a Librarian to provide library services support for the full breadth of biomedical research and MCM T&E conducted at USAMRIID. The Contractor shall support the operations and maintenance of a government library in order to provide in depth research and strategic analysis by using appropriate search engines and databases.
Requirements: *Apply expert search skills in Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, and other applicable biomedical databases to perform comprehensive literature searches for grant proposals and research protocols in accordance with applicable guidance and regulations. Searches shall be completed by time agreed on with patron.
*Apply knowledge of systematic review standards and methodologies and expert search skills in Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed MEDLINE, Web of Science, and Embase to collaborate with USAMRIID researchers on systematic reviews and meta analyses.
*Apply expert skill in EndNote bibliographic management software to assist researchers with information management.
*Process interlibrary loan requests in accordance with library standards. Approximately 10-25 loans per week.
*Perform daily circulation duties and monthly overdues as needed.
*Pick up mail and shelve library material as needed.
*Perform basic copy cataloging as needed.
*Answer ready reference questions and provide assistance to patrons on the usage of library computers, software, and technical equipment.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
*Compile and maintain daily statistics and records of all library services. Compilation will be rolled up on a daily basis and provided at the end of each month.
Required Skills: *MLS or MLIS
* Experience collaborating with researchers to perform comprehensive literature searching for systematic reviews or meta analyses, preferably with evidence of co-author credit or acknowledgement.
Completion of a formal systematic reviews for librarians class or workshop such as Pittsburgh's Systematic Review Workshop: The Nuts and Bolts for Librarians or the University of Michigan's Systematic Reviews: Opportunities for Librarians.
* Expertise in systematic review methodologies for both qualitative and quantitative studies.
*4. Expertise in the tools that help manage the systematic review process such as EndNote, Rayyan, Covidence, or DistillerSR.
