Ben-Some components get microphonic - i.e. - they pick up vibration where
they shouldn't - sometimes gently tapping suspected components with a
plastic pen might highlight any component that is faulty. You shouldn't hear
any effect unless there is something faulty. If there is a cold solder
joint, it might show up that way too-Mickey

Boards do not make noise. It might be a compoment on the board. Your service
person should be able to trace it!
OR see the machines on ebay, the one for $149 has a motor problem, probably
has a board that works…
