Google is right - I get 5.7 grams on my small digital scale, which only goes out to 1 decimal place. A nickel is 5 grams.

In a worst case, more weight can help, although that does the record no
good. Increase the arm weight to about 5 grams and see if that's any
better. Or you could try putting a nickel or a quarter on top the
cartridge shell. I've done that where nothing else works. Google tells me
that a quarter weighs 5.67 grams.
