Hello
I have a couple translations that kept the original English title. I am
clear about the preferred access point in the 240. The issue now comes
when making the expression authority record. The 400 generated with the
OCLC macro will be the same as the original English title. What do I
have to add to distinguish between the original and the variant access
point created? For example, I have Mansfield Park by Jane Austen in
Spanish. The English work has the same title. The macro created the
following:
100 1 Austen, Jane, dates. $t Mansfield Park. $l Spanish $s (translator)
400 1 Austen, Jane, dates. $t Mansfield Park
plus all the other fields for this expression. My question is, do I
include the 400? Do I have to add "Other Distinguishing Characteristic"
of this expression in order to distinguish it from the original also
tittle Mansfield Park? What to add or not to add?
Your collective wisdom will be welcome. Thanks in advance for the help.
Ivan
