In 2003, I bought the tape collection of Bob Wallace who was program
director at WAMC , a classical music station in Albany, NY. The collection
was in total disorder. I've finally gotten it organized sufficiently to
know most of what I have,
Among the over 5,000 tapes were the unedited voice tracks and completed
programs for his 13 week radio series, "At Home with Leopold Stokowski."
This was a two hour program where Bob asked Stokowski to comment about many
items he made during his recording career. Bob interviewed Stokowski and,
later, added the recordings to compile these shows. The voice tracks
include informal discussion as well as the more formal sentences used for
the completed programs. I seem to have most but not all of it- perhaps 85
to 90%, though there are still some 300 hundred or so other Stokowski tapes
to search through to try and find the missing parts. I've no paperwork
relating to this series.
They are not consistently numbered and/or dated. Can anyone supply a list
of the programs or other documentation so I can better piece it together?
