Hello Everyone,
In India, generally speaking, the situation is similar. Still, there are many collectors who collect 78 rpm Indian classical records who are under the age of 50.
I personally know 3 collectors in the city of Kolkata who are 45 years old or less.
I am 47 years old and, until very recently, I used to collect record of all forms including 78s. Last month I gave my entire record collection to my best friend (1 of the 3 collectors that I was talking about) and now I specialise in collecting unpublished music (mainly concert recordings and radio and television broadcasts).
However, if we expand this to include nonclassical music of the 1920's to 1950's, there are several hundred collectors of 78s in India. My best guess (and this is only a guess) is that about one-third of them are 50 years old or younger.
I will ask on some Facebook groups and try to get a better detailed picture.

Does anyone actually know such a person? I haven't so much as heard
tell of one in many years. I know one in his 50's; the rest are 60+.
Lately I've been thinking about what's going to happen to my
collection when I go to that great catalog department in the sky.
