We now routinely use 384k sample rate, which can capture bias up to
about 180 kHz in the same file as the audio. Higher bias frequencies
must still be down-converted by Plangent hardware and captured in a
separate file. The vast majority of older tapes which are most in need
of preservation and restoration have bias frequencies below 180 kHz.
