Greetings!
The Army MWR Library Program offers free webinar training open to interested
parties in DoD and federal libraries.
On September 23 at 0900 EST, we'd like to host a webinar called "Putting the
T in STEAM: Technology Programs for Libraries" and this is where we need
your help as a volunteer presenter. What innovative programs have you
offered that focus on technology for your patrons? Did you buy anything
special with your STEM funding? How did you get the library's 3D printer to
work and what are your patrons making with it? What are some lessons learned
from these programs?
Please contact me directly if you would like to present. You do not have to
be an Army, much less a DoD, librarian to share your ideas with the group.
We use DCO to present (based on Adobe Connect and sometimes blocked on some
military networks so using a commercial connection and a headset with
microphone is recommended). Presentations could be between 10-15 minutes
online and I request that presenters meet with me individually, at a
mutually agreeable time, for about 10 minutes or so online a week ahead of
time for a quick test to make sure that the software will function on their
computers.
I look forward to hearing from you.
With regards,
