Will we see you in New York for the AES Convention, 10/16 - 10/19 in New
York?
I hope so.
Are you excited about the Historical Track?
I know I am.
I pasted a link below to all the Historical events.
Some sessions and presentations that caught my eye: Rudy Van Gelder. Spike
Jones. The Tom Dowd Film (it's off site at the Dolby Theater - better get
your tickets when you pick up your badge)
How about a presentation from one of the first woman engineers? Or maybe
you like more technical presentations, like the historical view on power
and grounding, phasing, classic synths, psychoacoustics, and pitch change,
to name a few. Are you into restoration, preservation, and archiving? We've
got that too.
Since I've been involved in audio education for so long, I'm also looking
forward to the session on new ideas about incorporating audio history into
the curriculum.
Also, please join us for the Historical Committee meeting, on Friday, 10/18
from 2pm - 3:30pm in room 1C04. If you have an item you wish to add to the
agenda please let me know.
I look forward to seeing you there!!!
