Re Balkan, there were (at least) two labels by that name, one based in
Chicago and issuing a lot of Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian records (this
is the one mentioned above in regards to Esoteric Sounds) and the Balkan
Phonograph Company of New York which issued Greek, Albanian and some other
nationalities' music. Hope this helps.
