My understanding is that an undifferentiated record cannot be changed into a differentiated record under any circumstances. A new differentiated record must be created, either by the library or by LC. The undifferentiated record must be removed by LC.
In essence, it should be treated as an undifferentiated record with only a single identity remaining.

I think in this case, since the record represents a single identity for both of the works cited in 670s, you could change the record to a plain differentiated name record. But perhaps let's wait to see what our colleagues at LC PTCP have to say about this situation.

Subject: Undifferentiated but same person
Hello all
I found out that this NAR is for the same person in both 670s.
010 nr 97017231
100 10 Krüggeler, Thomas
From my research about this author, I found out that it is the same and should not be differentiated. What to do? Request this NAR to be deleted and create a new one? Please advise.
Ivan
