Colleagues, Good afternoon.

ASGCLA offers several award opportunities for individuals within the
Federal information profession community. These opportunities include: The
Federal Achievement Award and the Federal Rising Stars Initiative. The
Association of Specialized Government and Cooperative Library Agencies
(ASGCLA) is a division of the American Library Association.

Do you have a colleague who works for the federal government who you think
should receive an award for promoting library and information service and/or
the information profession?
This nominated individual does not have to be a member of ASGCLA or ALA to
receive the Federal Achievement Award. This could be the person who has
toiled in obscurity for years to promote information services to users.
This person could be a stand-out. This person could even be you!

Would you like to help highlight the achievement of a colleague who is new
to the library and information science profession? Rising stars are ASGCLA
members who are passionate about information services, both those in paid
employment and those who volunteer or who engage in association activities.

We would like your help! The Awards Working Group within ASGCLA encourages
library staff to nominate their colleagues, those deserving of an award. The
ASGCLA Board which receives the nominations are delighted with reviewing the
applications of nominees. You can even self-nominate! Reticent or feeling
Overwhelmed with work? No worries. You can email me the information (name,
title, short bio) of the person you would like to nominate and I will fill
out the form for you.

Please note, the forms are google based forms so they may not work on a
government machine.
