I think many of us are now working from Ibram X. Kendi's definitions on
race (

where "not racist" doesn't exist. If we do not take antiracist actions then
we are complicit with the status quo, which is a racist system built for,
and benefits, white people over Black People, Indiginous People, and People
of Color. And, I assume that's the exact reason the Board took a stand.
I've certainly done racist things and I always considered myself a
non-racist but I'm learning and trying everyday to change my behavior and
decision making.
