Just to clarify the words used: The Letter To the Editor should probably have been listed as an "Op-ED" as it did not relate to anything published in the Newsletter.  BUT to the point I want to refer everyone to this text at the bottom of Page 3 of EVERY Newsletter: " The opinions expressed in this publication are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the view of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections." Let's keep that in perspective as any future discussion continues. Steve Ramm (ARSC Treasurer and Board Member)
