"Sammy, you would be hard-pressed to find a journal, news source, media outlet or association that isn’t adopting codes just like this one."
I respond:
I haven't addressed the proposed ARSC code in any way, except to say that there is a method of giving input separate from ARSCList. What have I said that has made you believe otherwise?

I respond:
Indeed, I am not. As I have outlined in great detail earlier in this thread, ARSC has taken a definite side on several stories that I and my news organization cover, and has adopted the language used by certain political and protest groups. ARSC is advocating for a political point of view in several potentially criminal matters that are in the process of going through the criminal justice system. Some of these cases have not had charges filed, or been heard at trial. That is what's troubling, here.
The members of the ARSC Board may say anything they like about these things as individual people, but when they write or speak as the ARSC Board, they are representing all of ARSC. As I have repeatedly said, ARSC should not be weighing into current political controversies, and certainly not pending criminal cases. What is the possible benefit to record collecting or sound archiving? I would think there could be liability issues for the organization, as well.

Again, I have not publicly addressed any part of ARSC's proposed diversity documents.
Gerald, in looking back over your previous message, you have several times, now, implied that I have made a statement regarding the content of the proposed diversity documents. I have not done so publicly. Please stop implying that I have.
