I recently got a Pre-Matrix Series Victor, A-703. See

This is the only Pre-Matrix Series Victor I've seen in over 50 years
of collecting seriously and certainly the only one I'll ever have.
Is there a speed at or around which most of these were recorded? For a
Victor of ten years later, if I had no score and no guidance from a
discography, I'd try 76.60 rpm, and, if that put the item in a
reasonable key, I'd figure that was the right speed. Is there anything
similar for things this early?
FWIW, I played this at 76.60, since I had no idea what the right speed
might be, and it is squarely in E-flat major at that speed.
Also FWIW, if anyone cares, on my copy the "A" is inscribed lowercase
in the area between the final grooves and label, and there is a space
but no punctuation between the "A" and "703." There is no indication
of a take number.
I look forward to hearing the collective wisdom about this.
Thanks.
