I am fortunate that I "fell into" RME and Samplitude around Y2K. I've
never felt a need for more except for processing like RX. As a beta
tester I'm under NDA for anything surrounding that, but I feel your
frustration, Corey! The reason I mention RME is that their DigiCheck
program provides a nice phase scope that runs on the audio interface
driver, not the DAW.
But the best azimuth display I've ever seen--and the one I use as a
plugin in Samplitude--is the virtual strip-chart of stereotool.com.
