I use hold-down tape. I prefer tape with a polyester base and silicone
adhesive. Silicone adhesive is typically rated for short-term use at up
to 200 degrees C. At room temperature, it will remain stable for
decades, and typically leaves no residue when removed.
To find such tape at a reasonable price, search for "powder coating
tape". It's used as masking tape on parts that are being powder coated,
and has to stay stuck while the paint is baked, and leave no residue
when it's removed after cooling. Available from many sources, including
Amazon.
