Sorry to piggyback on this topic, but the suggestion of asking Ken Burns
really irked me. Ken Burns is not a professional researcher: He hires
other people to do the research - he just puts it together. It's great
that he's done so much to satisfy the people who need to receive
information by television. But the nature of television is one of
superficiality.

For people in search of research questions, we should really be careful to
make the distinction between where one could really find source material
that would answer the question, rather than just mentioning people simply
because they are well-known and may have had brief tangential contact with
the subject.
