The AMIA Conference Committee invites proposal submissions for sessions, posters, and workshops for the AMIA Spring 2021 online – April 13-16, 2021. <http://www.amiaconference.net/amia-spring-2021-call-for-proposals/>
Our thanks to all of the presenters, coordinators, and attendees who participated in AMIA’s first online conference in November. With everyone in differing (and often changing) stages of returning to the workplace with new challenges and continuing uncertainty, the ability to connect, share information, and learn from each other is more important than ever. AMIA Spring 2021 will offer an opportunity for continuing discussions and new conversations affecting the field.
The Conference Committee works to present a broad-based program that speaks to a wide range of attendees with a balance of theory and practice, inviting new ideas and concepts that stimulate additional interest, involvement, and educational benefit. In keeping with ongoing membership discussions about diversity and inclusion, we urge proposers to use AMIA Conference sessions as an opportunity to include new voices and offer diverse viewpoints.
We encourage you to read the Proposal Information<http://www.amiaconference.net/spring-2021-proposal-form-information/> and the Call for Proposals Notes and FAQ,<http://www.amiaconference.net/spring-2021-proposal-notes-faq/> which explain the review process and offers information and tips on what the reviewers and the Conference Committee consider in the proposal process. The Conference Committee will hold Office Hours in January to answer your questions and provide advice about putting together your proposal and the proposal process. You can also contact our Proposal Help Desk<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
The Committee has created a Google spreadsheet<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sTQjEvrPglfM6X_8_Zi6q1TZqV06KNBYQGqH3vUNob8/edit?usp=sharing> to connect individuals seeking ideas and/or collaborators for session and workshop proposals. The spreadsheet is provided as a means of communication only: the Committee does not monitor the document and it is not part of the official submission process.
