Pete, Kathie, and others,
I can provide an update on when we expect to complete the feasibility study and a recommendation for PCC institutions during the interim.
This was a five-month study beginning August 18, according to the announcement linked from the NACO Advisory Group web page https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.loc.gov%2Faba%2Fpcc%2Fnaco%2Fdocuments%2FPCC-CCT-Feasibility-Study.docx&data=04%7C01%7Cpete.wilson%40VANDERBILT.EDU%7C3270b8c2569f494e3d5f08d8bccb1494%7Cba5a7f39e3be4ab3b45067fa80faecad%7C0%7C0%7C637466927706036919%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=02llRT%2FaVGH5B%2BqmQ7NAR8aaviFW75UnJKFaNTPzHXA%3D&reserved=0. So as of yesterday the testing period has officially closed.
In the next stage we will analyze the data we have collected and present our findings to the PCC Standing Committee on Standards (SCS). We expect this process to take about a month.
SCS will then make a decision based on:
● the impact of the policy change on legacy data, including existing authorized conventional collective titles for incomplete collections of literary forms by one agent
● the treatment of translations
● bibliographic file maintenance (BFM)
● any unexpected or unforeseen cataloging situations that arise during the Feasibility Study
● the number of resources cataloged in the Feasibility Study
● literary forms that are not listed in RDA 6.2.2.10.2
● other issues that arise in the Feasibility Study
In the meantime, PCC catalogers may continue applying the policy given under "Process and Workflow" in the Feasibility Study FAQ https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.loc.gov%2Faba%2Fpcc%2Fnaco%2Fdocuments%2FFAQ-PCC-CCT-Feasibility-Study.docx&data=04%7C01%7Cpete.wilson%40VANDERBILT.EDU%7C3270b8c2569f494e3d5f08d8bccb1494%7Cba5a7f39e3be4ab3b45067fa80faecad%7C0%7C0%7C637466927706036919%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=4WTiX9F%2Bm6A0TT0138UgCAa7S1nrpEAZfXrk2o87HxM%3D&reserved=0.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. Also, if the Feasibility Study results in the policy change being studied, i.e. dropping the CCTs for "partial collections of literary forms by one agent," as I sincerely hope it will (there is nothing I am more eager to eschew than assigning CCTs for incomplete compilations of literary works) ... is there any chance the change could also be applied to non-literary collections, for instance collections of photographs by one photographer?
