I have a custom pressing on the Oriole (UK) label. 12" single-sided. It has the Roslyn House address which puts it between 1931 and 1937.
The orange and gold label shows the word "Oriole" over a microphone. Where the music and performer should be liste, below the center hole, there is an orange box that says, "Private Recording"
It has a matrix number of 318.
It contains a mid-lightish voiced tenor singing "Un di all' azzuro spazio'
from Giordano's "Andrea Chenier," piano accompanied.
Anyone know who the singer is?
