Hi John,
In what seems like half a lifetime ago much of my tech work was
servicing smaller high speed tape duplicators. The demand basically
dried up about 20 years ago.
I guess being Versadyne it's pro high speed open reel cassette tape
duplication gear. Very little call for this these days of course. I
would have though anybody seriously into cassette duplication these
days would already know of the very few others still in the business
such as National Audio Company in Springfield MO and the techs still
around and able to service it. John French at JRF Magnetics seems to
still supply some specialised parts such as heads, pinch rollers etc.
It can be very high speed, such as over 100 times real time so radio
frequency signals like video tape machines.
Cheers,
Tim Gillett

Versadyne duplicating machines - repairs
Are there shops around that fix the circuit boards from these
machines
or is it a case that self help is it.
I am asking as someone has inquired as to whether I can repair
something
and I wanted to find out if someone is already set-up to do it and
would
be cheaper.
