Indiana University wishes to acknowledge and honor the myaamiaki (Miami), Lënape (Delaware), Bodwéwadmik (Potawatomi), and saawanwa (Shawnee) peoples, on whose ancestral homelands and resources Indiana University Bloomington is built.
I encourage us all to engage with contemporary communities, to learn the histories of the land on which we reside, to look at who has and does not have access to its resources, and to examine our own place, abilities, and obligations within the process of reparative work necessary to promote a more equitable and socially just community for all.

Dear MLA Colleagues,
I am co-organizing a data rescue session focused on music collections at cultural heritage institutions in Ukraine which may be at risk during the attack and invasion by Russia. The session will occur on Saturday, March 5, 2022 (time TBD).
If you are interested in participating, please complete this form<https://bit.ly/datarescueforUA> so that we can share additional information with you. The event will be held virtually, instructions will be provided for a variety of roles (no programming background required). Asynchronous participation is also possible.
Co-organized by Anna E. Kijas and Francesca Giannetti (Digital Humanities Interest Group, Music Library Association) and Andy Janco (Digital Humanities Interest Group of the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies).
