Shai, I believe that HiMD only works if the material was recorded in
HiMD format. It would be grand if I am wrong, but I am farily sure, as I
still have a small portable HiMD deck, and it only worked with MDs
recorded on it, not regular MDs.

Have you ever done that yourself? It is dangerous to make professional
recopmmendations unless you have direct experience with it.
