I've got a question that I wonder if other Alphateers could
answer. Bear with me, as I have only tagged two guides in
the alpha version the EAD, this may seem obvious: has anyone
tagged their finding aids in such a way that the container
listing was rendered as a nested hierarchy of
<C01>,<C02>...etc. all the way to the folder level.
Specifically, would it be valid to tag the box, folder,
contents lists like so:
<C01> Series
<C02> Subseries
<C03> Box
<C04> Folder
In the Rostovzeff example, it appears to me that the
tagging is being done as follows:
<C01> Series
<C02> Subseries
<C03> Container list formatted as tabular info.
The reason I ask is that it strikes me that trying to set
up the container listing as tables that display in one
particular fashion might not always be the optimal way of
encoding documents.
Does anyone have any feedback on this? Any comments would
help me think through this one.
Thanks!
Steven
