For *all* users of the EAD list, it is worth noting that the list
software does *not* send a copy of a posted message to the originator.
I find this to be a strange phenomenon but it has been confirmed by
a systems person here at LC. I've requested that this "feature" be
changed (if possible) but have not heard that it is going to be
possible.
Most of you are probably used to getting a copy of a message you
post to a list in your own mail box after posting. I know I am.
This helps us all to monitor if our messages actually make it to
the list. It is unfortunate that the EAD list is not doing this
at the moment. One way around the problem is to copy yourself when
you post a message. I'll alert users through the list itself if
this is fixed. (The vendor may not see this as a problem.)
Until then, keep this in mind when posting messages.
