Now that I've put in my two cents on Alvin's questions, I'll add a few
more.
1. Is there any reason why there is not a specific element defined for
the copyright statement on the titlepage of the finding aid? NOT the
copyright for the materials themselves but the copyright for the finding
aid itself. It seems to be a very specific piece of information that
could be tagged specifically instead of being lumped into an
undifferentiated <p>.
2. Can <relatedmaterial> be made available outside of <add>? When we
have these statements (the sample I picked just happened to have one) they
show up with the rest of the narrative, collection-level elements at the
beginning of the finding aid, not at the end in an appendix/adjunct.
3. I know this came up on the list before, but why do
arrangement/organization statements need to be subsumed under
<Scopecontent>? There are a number of places where they could logically
appear, separate from the real scope and content note. They are treated
separately in MARC-AMC, why not here?
Enough for now.
