Glad to see there are Carroll fans out there. Actually, just thinking
of the cover of VOICE OF OUR SHADOW (I have a paperback with a sort of
fragmented raven on it) gives me the creeps. The humor is wonderfully
sick, but it's also a profoundly creepy book.

Might as well also mention BONES OF THE MOON, which was the first one I
read. It's different in feel from the other books, including the other
books with a female protagonist. Although some very dark and terrible
things happen in the novel, what stuck with me was the almost
children's-literature kind of fantasy land Cullen James inhabited. Felt
like a children's book you might read in a nightmare.
