I may not be "esteemed," but I teach high school, and have found
"Searching for Summer," by Joan Aiken; "There Will Come Soft Rains," by
Ray Bradbury; "By the Waters of Babylon," by Stephen Vincent Benet; and
"Winter Night," by Kay Boyle; as good starters.
