What you you say is true about people only seeing aliens as monsters of
destruction, but that is what makes me like Ender's Game so much. It seems
that it and Speaker for the Dead and the last two in the series are two
different series. Is it not more interesting to see both sides of a human's
mind, the insightful and ignorant? Are we not all ignorant of things at
times. It is fun to watch Ender frow from a boy who fears the unknown to a
young man who learns about the unknown and embraces it despite any and all of
its irregularities according to the human culture. Xenocide does this in one
book, yet with a whole colony of monster-fearing people. I must admit that
Xenocide did keep me on the edge of my seat towards the end. This is why I
believe Card might possibly be a genius. Even when I think he messed up, he
still looks masterful.
