I'd like to share with you an amusing event that happend to me today.
A friend told me about a small magazine/book store in a nearby town that
sold foreign lit. Well i walk in climb to the next floor which is filled
with english lit. and a the Sci-Fi sec is hugh!
Damn! my eyes just boggled 8-) I start skimming checking up on favourite
writers and come across Arthur C. Clarke's "Hammer of God" already the day
was shaping up nicely. Next thing i know the owner and i start chatting
about some book and authors, he asks me about a Heinelin book that he
started reading and i asked about a few books i was interested in reading.
Well, he that draws out a book, says it's a sci-fi western of sorts and that
he had liked it alot. I say what the heck and look at the cover and BEHOLD!
I have seen the light! Halleluya! he just gave me Mike Resnick's "Soothsayer"!
Well Mike Welcome to Israel!
I started reading the book during the friday rush hour and so far i love it!
Continue with the good work Mike, your on my list now and i'm gonna start
looking for your books.
Just thought i'd share.
Cheers!
Zak
