Good science fiction will always thrill me. The advances in the biological
and social sciences in the near future will offer a wealth of ideas for
sci-fi, and I personally do not find these subjects any less interesting than
stories revolving around the physical sciences. I think a "golden age" of
sci-fi is upon us, and writers will offer us stories that involve what is
really important in any story : Characters who try to discover what it means
to be human in an increasingly inhuman world (genetic engineering, virtual
reality, brain science, ect.). To me, good genra scifi takes the present and
follows it to it's possible conclusions. And with that definition, I don't
think I will ever get bored with it.
