Part-time Librarian

Adirondack Community College invites applications for the position of part-time
Librarian. The position involves 21 hours per week: two or three
afternoon/evenings a week plus Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The position will
work throughout the year, including summer, when the hours will differ.

The primary responsibilities will include cataloging new acquisitions,
resolving problems remaining from OCLC retrospective conversion, and assisting
in other projects in cataloging and with the library's integrated automated
system. Will require occasional reference desk coverage.

Knowledge of and experience working with OCLC, LC classification schedules,
LCSH and AACR2 required. An M.L.S. degree is required and experience working
with automated systems strongly preferred. The salary is $12 per hour.
