I feel that the entire argument concerning the value of a piece of creative
expression begs a definition of sorts. Although I can't in my heart defend
"Baywatch", how do we judge such things. In fairness, the people who produce
"Baywatch" have a goal they wish to accomplish, that being to make money.
The people who regularly view the show do so with (I would hope) the goal of
some mindless mental relaxation.
Both the producer of the product and the recipient are satisfied. In this
light, is it fair to lable "Baywatch" as something so general as Bad?
